Lisa Dillon-Thistleton runs a friendly Dog Grooming service at our Liphook branch...
A love of animals led Lisa to train, firstly at Merrist Wood Animal Management College, followed by grooming diplomas, finishing to C&G Level 3 at Sparshalt College, Winchester.
A word from Lisa:
"My aim is to have a happy and beautifully groomed dog and a satisfied owner. Before grooming, I find out the owner's requirements and can give advice r.e. maintenance of the dog's coat. Before grooming a new puppy or young dog, I like to give them a bath and tidy up several times so that they can get used to the parlour and grooming equipment. This is to ensure that the first full groom is not too overwhelming. To prevent pain and distress, I do not undertake de-matting but prefer to clip out any knotted fur.
"At our grooming parlour, I can offer:
- Clipping and styling (including specific breed standard cuts)
- Hand stripping
- Nail cutting and filing
- Bathing and drying
- Applying vet prescribed shampoos
- Ear plucking
"Note: it will not always be suitable for a groomer to pluck ears. Any ear problem should be referred to the vet.
"Do contact me at our Liphook branch for grooming advice or to arrange an appointment."
